I’m a creative designer, producer, and project manager. After a decade as a stylist and production manager in Commercial and TV production, I transitioned to explore the intersection of sustainable design practices and community engagement with a Masters in Design for Emergent Futures. Currently I run The Neighborhood Grocer, style photoshoots, and organize spaces across the United States.

Academic Experience

MASTER IN DESIGN FOR EMERGENT FUTURES

Barcelona, Spain | 2020 – 2021

Researched and developed projects that explored bio materials, circular economies, post human design, sustainability, A.I, and open source/distributed design. M.A. Written Thesis: Resilience through Regeneration.

RESEARCH & DESIGN

  • Explored regenerative materials and their impact on the future environment, such as: mycelium products and bio-plastic prototypes from local agriculture and food waste (orange, cacao, coffee, and sawdust).

  • Installed alternative food labeling systems in local food markets to convey carbon footprint and lunar cycle of items, alongside pricing for consumer awareness.

PRODUCTION | FABACADEMY

  • Studied digital fabrication skills including computer-aided design, electronics programming, microcontrollers, embedded programing, CNC, 3D printing, vinyl cutting, laser cutting, silicon molding, thermoforming, and html coding.

  • Uploaded project documentation in an open source manner (Git Lab).

CULTURAL PROGRAMMING | COMMUNITY OUTREACH

  • Conducted a series of workshops at the Institute for Advanced Architecture to teach architecture students and local designers how to grow and use Mycelium for their respective contexts.

  • Organized and taught workshops for elementary school children on how to create biodegradable materials utilizing collected food waste.

  • Organized and moderated a panel discussion “Resilience Through Responsibility” on conscious consumerism and entrepreneurship with local fashion companies, with esteemed guests such as the Founder of Fab Lab Barcelona, founder of Taos Living, and founders of FOS and 8PM brands.

Designer

Tonal

March - July 2022

Spearheaded the establishment of the wardrobe department for Tonal's new offices in New York, concurrently developing a fresh creative aesthetic for the company in collaboration with the creative and product teams. Implemented a new wardrobe workflow system for live production.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Collaborated cross-functionally with remote teams, overseeing the hiring and onboarding of department staff in New York.
    Managed a team of 5 both on-site and remotely, focusing on priorities to ensure seamless operations.

  • Cultivated partnerships with emerging workout brands and collaborated with the internal gear department to create capsule collections with them.
    Created and managed wardrobe budgets for the LA and NY studios.

  • Organized independent feedback sessions with national store managers and user interactions to gather and synthesize feedback. Presented findings during creative meetings to inform decision-making.

CREATIVE

  • Styled coaches for live workout streaming in LA and NY, applying color theory and current design trends to appeal to diverse user targets.
